Hello, I'm grateful you found me.
I listen to my hands - Follow my gut - Treat from my heart
Thank you for taking the time to read through the website. As an Osteopathic Practitioner and movement enthusiast, I appreciate the opportunity to THINK, TEACH & TREAT.
I come to my work with a deep sense of fulfillment, shaped by the challenges I’ve overcome and the determination it took to become an Osteopathic Practitioner. That journey has given me more than a professional title; it has shaped how I understand the body and how I approach your care. Today, I’m able to share my knowledge by helping people discover simple, realistic, and individualized ways to support their bodies, build awareness, and make meaningful changes in their everyday lives.
Providing compassionate care that is both strong and soft that encourages and not forces your body into balance.
Who is Sheri & How Can She Help Me?
During each and every treatment, my mind stays open (while my eyes are often closed ) as I remain curious to uncover new and effective ways to help guide the body. I am extremely confident in my hands and have developed a strong clinical foundation that has taught me that no two people are the same. This keeps me humbled, grounded and continuously refining my approach through continued education.
Through years of clinical experience, I have developed fine palpation skills that can be as light as a feather yet able to pick up on deeper tensions or firm and intentional touch that can create change without creating pain. As a classically trained Osteopathic Practitioner, I work with functional anatomy and systems of the body rather than treating with particular techniques. While I appreciate the need for diagnosis, I am capable of working with and beyond to help people feel more than a label they have been given. Treatment works alongside medical specialists to offer a compassionate side to care that often doesn't exist, due to time restraints in western medicine.
Through life experiences, I've come to realize there's a lot more "grey" in the black & white pictures that we are painted. I help people look at their pain in unconventional ways, to give space to say what they believe they are experiencing and then brainstorm and hypothesize avenues to explore. Working together allows for a well-rounded treatment protocol that invites individuality to meld with my clinical experience and knowledge.
Pain is your body's way of letting you know something is off and it's a signal that something needs help, not something that needs to be pushed through. I work on getting to know how each of my patients thinks and I take the time to learn more about what they need each time they come in. This creates a safe environment to express both physically and mentally, the struggles that are holding their body back from healing.
I welcome non-traditional thinkers, those who haven't felt heard and who feel like round pegs trying to fit into square holes. My approach is rooted in the understanding that every body is different. You bring the lived experiences and questions; I bring my knowledge, experience, and clinical perspective to help you make sense of what it may be telling you. We work as a team.
I look forward to helping those, who want to help themselves.
