I listen to my hands, follow my gut and treat from my heart.
Welcome, thank you for taking the time to read through the website. As an Osteopathic Practitioner and movement enthusiast, I appreciate the opportunity to THINK, TEACH & TREAT.
I come to work with a sense of fulfillment for the challenges I overcame and the determination it required of me to receive the title of Osteopathic Practitioner. Now, I am able to reach more people and educate them on simple, subtle ways of living that are realistic and individual to their bodies.
During each and every treatment, my mind stays open (while my eyes are often closed ) to the possibility of learning something new. I have developed fine palpation skills that can be as light as a feather yet able to pick up on deeper sensations and tensions or firm and intentional. As a classically trained Osteopathic Practitioner, I work with functional anatomy and systems of the body rather than treating with particular techniques. While I appreciate the need for diagnosis for some, I am capable of working with and beyond them to help people feel more than a label they have been given.
Through life experiences, I've come to realize there's a lot more gray in the black & white pictures that we are painted. I help people look at their pain in unconventional ways, to give space to say what they believe they are experiencing and then brainstorm and hypothesize avenues to explore. Working together allows for a well-rounded treatment protocol that invites individuality to meld with my clinical experience and knowledge.
Pain is your body's way of letting you know something is off and it's a signal that something needs help, not something that needs to be "pushed through". I work on getting to know how each of my patients thinks and I take the time to learn more about what they need each time they come in. This creates a safe environment to express both physically and mentally, the struggles that are holding their body back from healing.
I invite non-traditional thinkers, people who feel like they haven't been heard and those who feel like they are round pegs trying to fit into square holes. You know your body best and I'm here to help you understand what it is trying to tell you.
I look forward to helping those who want to help themselves.
